Fans Of Big Bang Member Taeyang Donate Clean Water Wells To Communities In Cambodia, Myanmar In Honor Of Singer's Birthday

Big-hearted fans of Big Bang member Taeyang came together to perform a good deed in celebration of their idol's birthday on May 18.

Taeyang fans donated water wells to help provide clean water to communities in need in the Southeast Asian countries of Cambodia and Myanmar, reports KPopHerald.

The Taeyang fan group, known as "URTHESUN", has been donating what they dub as "Taeyang's water" for three straight years now through the international charity organization Worldshare.

"We wish people would live in a cleaner environment where they can nurture dreams and hopes," the fans reportedly said in a statement.

The fan donation was made in honor of Taeyang's birthday on May 18. This year, the singer turned 27 in western age (Korean age calculation adds an additional year).

Taeyang has received affectionate gifts from fans, but also cheeky greetings from his fellow Big Bang members. The group's leader G-Dragon playfully published a photo which gave Big Bang members drag queen makeovers which served as a humorous birthday greeting.

Taeyang's birthday comes amid the Big Bang comeback album, MADE, the first released by the group in three years. The five-man male group has spent the past weeks promoting two new songs, "Bae Bae" and "Loser" and have reportedly flown to Jeju Island recently to shoot a music video, presumably for one of the other songs they plan to release in later months.
