What does the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has that the S6 doesn't? A closer look at the technical specs of the Active version is listed below.

In a report by GSM Arena, full specs of the phone has been listed as compared to the S6.

Just like the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Active version is expected to have the newly introduced Samsung Pay that could be used together with the improved fingerprint sensor of the gadget.

Starting off with its screen, the S6 Active has a 5.1-inch super AMOLED touchscreen that provides 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution and is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Just like any Active version of Samsung phones, protection against dust and water is equipped on the phone with its IP67 certification. In addition to that, it also MIL-STD-810G certified that gives protection to salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock. The phone is water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes.

Just like the S6, the active runs on the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system. With regard to its chipset, the S6 Active has an Exynos 7420 chipset, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and a quad-core 2.1 GHz CPU and could provide excellent graphics with its Mali-T760 GPU.

In addition to all this, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active boasts a 16-megapixel with 2988 x 5312 pixels camera. It also has features such as optical image stabilization, autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, Auto HDR and panorama. The back camera has the ability to capture 2160p at 30 frames per second videos.

For its secondary camera, it has a 5-megapixel camera that has dual video call capability, an auto HDR features that support to as much as 1080p at 30 frames per second.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has a battery that could last for a while by having a 3500 mAh battery that could support wireless charging.
