Lee Seung Gi To Challenge Big Bang, 2PM In Music Charts Next Month With 6th Album Release

June is already a jam-packed month for Korean comebacks but it becomes even more exciting with actor-singer Lee Seung Gi also returning with new music.

Lee Seung Gi's sixth full-length album will be released on June 4, his agency, Hook Entertainment, announced on May 21, reports KPopHerald.

What kind of songs will be included in this new album? The singer's agency said it will showcase "diverse genres of music, including ballad and medium tempo songs."

Fans should also look forward to a personal touch in the album as it will contain a song composed by Lee Seung Gi himself, the agency added.

"I really enjoyed your last song, looking forward to even more great music" and "Finally! A new album. Been waiting for so long" said fans, as translated and compiled by Netizenbuzz.

Lee Seung Gi will be returning in June with heavy competition. Big Bang plans to drop its third song from its MADE album, "A", on June 1. 2PM is looking to come back in mid-June after sorting out its music video production issues. SISTAR and Girls' Generation are also slated to return with new music in June.

The new album follows his first mini-album Forest which was released in November 2012 and contained five songs, including title track "Return" that topped the Gaon Digital chart for three weeks.

Lee Seung Gi debuted in 2004 and has continued to put out albums even as he has grown into one of the most popular actors and variety entertainers in South Korea.
