After touring as a solo artist, No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani is reportedly working on a new album, as a follow up to her second studio effort.

In a report by Idolator, Stefani went on an interview with Ryan Seacrest that revealed Stefani's plans on a third studio album release. In the interview, she revealed that she is working on a new album and talks about her tour as a solo artist.

"I've been working on it. I feel excited now because when I first started working on it, I was like, 'I'm gonna put it out this year!' I was very kind of rushed about it," Stefani said. "Now I feel settled in, I had the baby - he's going to be a year-old, can you believe that?! - I feel like now I'm going to go back in and do some more writing and be a little more relaxed about it."

The Voice judge also revealed how she is taking things slowly especially with all the live shows and tours she is expected to do in the coming months.

"I decided to slow down a little bit, and now I've got this [live] show I've been working on, which is forcing me to go back and listen to my old songs that I've never listened to in so long," she said. "But it's been super inspiring, because now it's like I'm in competition with myself, like, "How did I do that? I wish I could do that again."

Furthermore, Stefani revealed that her new album is expected to have collaborations from different artists and that a new No Doubt record could also be expected in the future.

"It's already been a crazy journey, and all unexpected," Stefani said. "I hadn't ever expected to do new, dance music without the band. It wasn't something that was even on my radar. Originally I wasn't going to do The Voice because there was no way to do it with new No Doubt music - you know how we work, it takes awhile. But being able to collaborate outside of the band and work with different producers just speeds things along."

Release date for the new Gwen Stefani album hasn't been discussed as of the moment but is expected to come out next year.
