Kate Gosselin allegedly left her kids for days without communicating with them. According to a report from The Hollywood Gossip, her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, has vowed that he will fight for his children in court.

"Kate Gosselin took off for four days last week (and just) left the kids with the nanny," an insider close to the family revealed.

"Kate is supposed to give Jon first right of refusal to take care of the kids when she goes away, (but) she didn't."

Kate Gosselin's kids were supposedly the ones who told Jon Gosselin about their mother taking off.

"The kids told Jon they didn't know where she went," the source shared. "(Kate Gosselin's kids) had no way to reach her because she doesn't give them her cell number."

"Kate thinks if she gives (her number) to (her children), someone else will get a hold of it. She doesn't want random people calling," the source explained.

Jon Gosselin's lawyer, Kristen Doleva-Lecher, said that her client will is ready to face Kate Gosselin for their kids.

"He will fight for the kids in court. His only priority is what is best for the children," said the insider.

The couple shares eight kids: twins Mady and Cara, 14, and 10-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah. The ex-couple and their children became popular for their former TLC reality series, "Jon and Kate Plus 8." The show has been renamed to "Kate Plus Eight" ever since the two parted ways.

Radar Online reported earlier this year that Kate Gosselin left her six youngest kids for almost a week.

"(Kate Gosselin) traveled with the two older children for six days and left the six younger children in the care of a 19-year-old babysitter," the legal papers read.

"Father was available, however, Mother refused to let the children stay with father and/or allow Father to stay in her home with the children."

"Mother has also instructed her babysitters that they are not to contact Father and/or provide Father with any information and/or accept phone calls from Father," the court documents indicated.
