South Korean Rapper Crown J Prepares For 1st Comeback In 5 Years With 'LOLO'

After five years, Crown J will return to the Korean hip-hop scene.

Korean rapper Crown J began comeback promotions for his June release in May, announcing his return to the Korean music industry. The single "LOLO" and follow up track "BRB" are Crown J's first songs since the singer took a leave of absence from the spotlight after being involved in a marijuana scandal.

Crown J spent the past five years reflecting and preparing for his comeback.

A representative of Flyboy Entertainment, Crown J's representative label, revealed that there previously had been talks of Crown J making a comeback but the musician refused to do so until he was pleased with his final product.

"He couldn't do so until he was satisfied," the rep told X Sports News. "Now that Crown J is 100% satisfied with the results, he is making his comeback."

The rapper's comeback songs will be "LOLO," which stands for "life of luxury only" and "BRB," the online abbreviation of "be right back."

It is unknown whether Crown J will appear on variety shows. Prior to his hiatus from the industry in 2010, Crown J not only released multiple songs but also was a popular guest on variety shows. He gained popularity as half of the "Ant Couple," a virtual couple with singer Seo In Young on We Got Married

Crown J released multiple teasers on Twitter and Instagram in anticipation of "LOLO" on June 3.
