Denver Nuggets Eyeing Jeremy Lin? Rebuilding Squad Might Move Kenneth Faried And Ty Lawson's Huge Contracts

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin will be an unrestricted free agent by the end of this season and he is not to expected to return as a Laker next season. Fortunately, there are several teams interested in his services.

One of those teams is the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets, despite having a competitive team, did not pan out this season and the management is looking to rebuild and move huge contracts.

According to Mark Kiszla of Denver Post, the Nuggets are planning to make Jusuf Nurkic and Danilo Gallinari as the centerpieces of their line-up. This means Kenneth Faried and Ty Lawson are available in the trading block. With that said, the Nuggets might be interested in Jeremy Lin to replace Lawson's starting spot.

However, the Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Bobcats, and Brooklyn Nets might also inquire for Jeremy Lin's service as per According to IBTimes.

"Several teams will be in need of point guards this summer, especially those unwilling to pay their own unrestricted free agents. There's the Detroit Pistons who face a difficult situation with Brandon Jennings, the Denver Nuggets who could lose Jameer Nelson as Ty Lawson's backup if he opts-out, the Charlotte Hornets could let Mo Williams walk, and the Brooklyn Nets might watch Deron Williams exercise his opt-out clause," the source wrote.

Lastly, Jeremy Lin is not so thrilled to return to a line-up after losing his starting role to Ronnie Price and emerging point guard Jordan Clarkson. From Orange County Register via The Blow.

"I went through losing my starting position (last year) in Houston," he said, "but we were a playoff team and we were doing well and here we were at the bottom of the standings, setting all types of records in the wrong way."
