Catching Up? Emma Stone Steps Out Without Makeup With Boyfriend Andrew Garfield As They Spend Consecutive Days Together

Months after they were not photographed together, fueling split rumors in the process, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have a lot of catching up to do.

On Monday, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield-who shaved the full beard that he sported while filming Martin Scorsese's "Silence" in Taiwan-were again spotted in Venice, California.

"Keeping it casual in a pair of stonewash denim jeans with a black, V-neck jumper and white T-shirt, the flame-haired star certainly seemed to have a spring in her step," said Daily Mail. "Meanwhile, Andrew played in cool in a bizarre grunge look which he capped with some tortoiseshell sunglasses."

The nasty rumor about that Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield split was first reported by tabloid Star Magazine, which blamed their busy schedules for driving them apart.

"It's clear they've drifted apart. It's an unspoken issue, but everybody knows they are on hold. Yes, Andrew was filming but he could have gotten away if he really wanted to. The fact was, neither one of them wanted to plaster on a smile [nor] pretend everything was OK when it wasn't," the report said.

But according to E! News, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone never really broke up.

The source claimed, "It was always a 'break' due to schedules. They have been really busy, so they finally have had time to see each other again. They care for each other and always have the best time when together."

It turned out that the reason Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were not photographed together for weeks was because he was in Taiwan filming "Silence," which just wrapped production.

According to Screenrant, "Silence" is based on the novel of Shûsaku Endô in 1966. The story "follows two Portuguese Jesuit missionaries (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) who search for their mentor (Liam Neeson) in 17th century Japan. That setting is a time and place where the traveling priests face persecution for their religious beliefs - as do all native Christians - while the Japanese government is seeking to purge the country of western influences."
