Reynaldo Rey's Death Confirmed As Actor Passes Away After Suffering From A Stroke; Co-Star Jackee Harry Expresses Grief.

The news about Reynaldo Rey's death has been making the rounds on the internet.

This is after it has been confirmed by numerous sources including People. According to the site, the actor's manager spoke with Associated Press to reveal details about his death. It was then found out that the 75-year-old suffered from a stroke earlier on. After which, he was admitted in the hospital and suffered from complications that were brought about by his condition.

He died at a hospital in Los Angeles and was survived by his mother, his wife, two sons and a daughter.

As known to many, Rey appeared in numerous movies during the late 80's and early 90's. Some of the movies include "Friday," starring Ice Cube as Craig Jones, Chris Tucker as Smokey, Tommy Lister as Deebo, Nia Long as Debbie and DJ Pooh as Red. Reynaldo played Red's father.

Other films where the comedian is known for are "White Men Can't Jump," "Harlem Nights" and "House Party."

Aside from films, Reynaldo Rey's death was also made significant by his contribution to numerous TV shows including "The Bernie Mac Show," "The Wayans Bros.," "The Tonight Show," "The Royal Family," "Parents in Crime," "Sanford and Son," "Everybody Hates Chris," "227" and "Sister, Sister."

Numerous celebrities grieved for the comdian's passing. His former co-star in the "227" TV series, Jackee Harry, took to Twitter to express her grief. "Rest in peach to my dear friend and 227 co-star, Reynaldo Rey," wrote the actress. "'Red' will always hold a place in my heart."

Before show business, Rey worked as a teacher. He started entering the industry as a comedian and he would do stand-up shows as an opener for his former mentor, Redd Foxx. After that, he proceeded to doing films and TV.

After Reynaldo Rey's death was announced to have been confirmed, fans all over the world did not waste a breath and have since sent their condolences to his family.
