Carrie Underwood Talks About ‘Little Toy Guns’ And Unhappy Homes; Hints About Personally Knowing People Who Could Relate To The Song

Carrie Underwood talked about her song "Little Toy Guns" and how it is about unhappy homes. According to a report from Win Country, the new mom hinted that she personally knows people who could relate to the song.

"There [are] these characters in the song," Carrie Underwood explained about "Little Toy Guns."

"There's a little girl, and she hears her parents fighting, as unfortunately a lot of kids do, and you don't really realize how that can affect your child."

"I've seen it firsthand from different people in my life," the country star admitted, without detailing who exactly she referred to.

Carrie Underwood said the character in "Little Toy Guns" symbolizes how kids are always the ones who are deeply affected when parents fight.

"It's basically saying, I wish their words weren't real," explained the wife of Mike Fisher. Carrie Underwood and the NHL Nashville Predators star share a son, Isaiah Fisher, who was born last February.

"I wish they were like little toy guns, and they didn't hurt you. So, that's kind of what it's about," she added.

Aside from Carrie Underwood's "Little Toy Guns," another song that has been making waves is her hit single "Something in the Water." The track was recognized at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards as Top Christian Song for the year.

Taste of Country also reported that "Something In the Water" is Carrie Underwood's longest-running number one song to date.

The outspoken Christian singer poured out her sentiments about baptism and conversion in the song's lyrics.

"Opened my eyes and told me truth / He said just a little faith and it'll all get better / So I followed that preacher man down to the river and now I'm changed / And now I'm stronger," Carrie Underwood sings.

"It's really kind of a joyous, uplifting song about changing your life for the better and kind of having that 'a-ha' moment, to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward," Carrie Underwood explained about "Something In the Water."
