Wardrobe Inspection: K-Pop's Best Dressed Of June 2015

It's certainly interesting to see the transition from refreshing spring style to sizzling summer fashion in recent music videos. Singers are trading their cardigans for tanks and jeans for leg appreciating shorts. So, which idols brought heat for the month of June?

"Love Me Right" by EXO

From American football players to Beetlejuice impersonators, EXO had quite the variety of looks for their “Love Me Right” promotions. The nine boys in the music video were also seen in a number of suit patterns as well.

Chanyeol in particular donned a pink tinted checker suit while fellow member, Sehun, went for a more subtle navy blue look over a graphic top. Their concept for “Love Me Right” seems to lean more towards more toward the casual and comfortable side contradictory to “Call Me Baby” which was more focused on a hot charismatic look.

"Mannequin" by Primary

DJ and producer Primary returned with “Mannequin” for his latest mini-album 2-2. The track featured vocalist, Suran, in a vintage blue dress accented with fine pink shell patterns. Beenzino, who also featured on song, retained his easygoing T-shirt, snapback, and jeans.

Primary didn’t appear as much in the music video as Suran, but when he did, you can be sure it was in his “duck” mask paired with a snazzy suit.

“DOPE” by BTS

The boys of BTS are back with a “dope” style in their recent comeback. Evolving from their school boys days, it appears the six gentlemen secured desk jobs with an office chic style.

Individually the members had their own career looks J-Hope as a racecar driver, Suga a military official, V a detective, Jin as a doctor, Jung Kook a police officer, Jimin as your standard office employee while Rap Monster dons the dance break attire that BTS ultimately all end up in.

"My House" by 2PM

Beastly idols 2PM gave us all an offer we couldn’t refuse in the “My House” music video. “My House” incorporated not only the fairytales of Cinderella and hints of Beauty and the Beast, but as well the story of biting into the forbidden fruit.

With an invitation to the ball, the six men broke out their best suits and dazzled just as they intended with beastly prince charm.

“Heart Attack” by AOA

AOA went from being “like cats” to determined lacrosse players for their latest music video “Heart Attack.” The sporty trend was followed throughout the music video with an array of spandex and team uniforms granted the heels may have been put away in time for the big game.

"Bang Bang Bang" BIGBANG

Continuing with the slew of Big Bang promotions, the quintet dropped yet two more music videos for the month of June; one far more subtle than the other. “Bang Bang Bang” is definitely one of their more intense music videos recently having featured more glitter, fire, and fur than we had probably foreseen. If that wasn’t enough, Big Bang made sure we had our fill of leather and even lace courtesy of Daesung.

“Shake It” by SISTAR

It’s summer time, so that means there’s a Sistar comeback! Rather than a flirty and fun summer wear, Sistar traded up for a vast about of patterns and denim accents. The ladies made sure to accessorize adding Sistar showed off their slim figures with a variety of sportswear reminiscent of yoga instructors.

"Um Oh Ah Yeh" by MAMAMOO

After their retro funky themed collaboration with eSNa for “AHH! OOP!”, the darling quartet MAMAMOO returned with their own title track “Um Oh Ah Yeh,” however, the ladies brought with them a unique concept that, interestingly enough, they happen to pull off.

Members Hwasa, WheeIn and Moonbyul disguised themselves as men with impressive detail. Moonbyul was full on flower-boy while Wheein went the nerdy route and Hwasa towards the biker look. Fans need not worry though, the ladies as well showed their feminine side and alluring denim number as well as vibrant array of pastel colors.

BONUS: Girls Generation Comeback Teaser

On June 30, SMTOWN uploaded the TV CF teaser version of Girls’ Generation’s official comeback. The CF features the three songs “Party”, “You Think”, and “Lion Heart” to be released this coming July. After releasing the teaser we can see three themes portrayed: summer time, refreshingly elegant, and luxuriously alluring. Of course, we must be patient until the official release to find out more.

In July we can expect comebacks from Big Bang, GOT7, 9Muses, and more. Whose fashion are you looking forward to?
