Pit Bull Saves Family From Fire in Oklahoma; 'She is My Hero' [VIDEO]

A 10-year-old pit bull terrier in Lincoln County, Oklahoma saves a family from a fire at their home.

The pit bull named Baby, showed an incredible act of heroism as she alerted the family of the terrible blaze. She began barking early Tuesday morning to awaken her sleeping owners, Rhonda Westenberger and her sister Evelyn.

Rhonda Westenberger shared her incredible story to different media, "There were flames shooting down the hallway. If Baby hadn't woken Evelyn up, I don't think either one of us would have come out of it."

The two sisters were safely out but their other five dogs were stuck inside and Baby came to their rescue as well.

"And then there was one hiding under the bed, wouldn't come out," said family member Charles Land. "Baby actually went under there, grabbed it by the neck and dragged him outside."

Although the family lost their home of 17 years and everything in it, the family says all hope is not lost.

"She's always come across to us as one of the family and this just proves it."

"It brings my spirit up a lot to see the dogs," said Westenberger. "I'm so proud of her. She is my hero. She's the hero for all of us."
