SM Entertainment Reportedly Objects To Compulsory Mediation With Luhan And Kris Even As Both Idols Accept

SM Entertainment has filed objections to the compulsory mediation prescribed by the court in the agency's ongoing legal battle against former EXO members Luhan and Kris (Wu Yi Fan), reports Koreaboo.

Luhan and Kris, meanwhile, did not file objections to the compulsory mediation offered by the Seoul Central District Court.

SM Entertainment filed the notice of objection through their legal counsel Tae Pyung Yang, but did not specify why they refused the court's proposal.

Compulsory mediation between SM Entertainment and the two idols will not push through if either party objects to it, according to Koreaboo, suggesting that the lawsuit between the involved parties is far from being settled.

The Seoul Central District Court proposed compulsory mediation between SM Entertaintment and Kris and Luhan in late April in an attempt to reach a settlement between the parties.

Kris and Luhan face lawsuits against SM Entertainment allegedly for breaking their contracts after they pursued individual activities in China.

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment is continuing negotiations with a third Chinese member, Tao, who is currently inactive and did not participate in EXO's latest comeback promotions for "Love Me Right" from their new repackaged album. Tao is in California where he is reported to be seeking treatment for injuries, which according to Tao's father, contributed to the decision for his son to leave the group.
