MBC's "Music Core" is taking precautions in response to the growing concern over MERS (Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome). Sports Today News revealed that "Music Core" requested all participants and fans to wear a mask if they wish to attend the program. Those without masks will not be permitted to enter the broadcast.  

According to Sports Today News' report, as of June 6 nine more individuals have been diagnosed with MERS. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 50. Around 1866 individuals are currently being quarantined and 165 have been released from quarantine. However, since some people were breaking their quarantine many in South Korea are worried about the spread of the disease.

Music performances have already been cancelled in response to the MERS scare. The June 5 and 6 performances of Black Music Stage event were cancelled, while others were postponed.

Today's episode of "Music Core" features SHINee, EXO, KARA, Hyosung, MONSTA X, Kim Sung Gyu, CLC, Na Yoon Kwon, HISTORY, The Ark, N.Flying, SEVENTEEN, SPEED, Boys Republic, HIGH4, HALO, Romeo, Baek Chung Kang, and TREN-D. With each acting bringing in their own personal fan base, as well as the shows general audience base, there is likely a large body of attendees at the broadcast. Hopefully "Music Core's" precaution will allow fans to enjoy today's artist lineup and keep them safe at the same time.
