Michael Schumacher Favors Handling Of His Condition? F1 Champion's Manager Defends Secrecy Over Situation

Michael Schumacher's condition has been speculated on in the tabloids, but the F1 champion's manager and spokesperson defended the decision to insist on his privacy.

According to Express, quoting German magazine Der Speigel, the family's handling of Michael Schumacher's condition,\ would have gotten the approval of the seven-time F1 champion.

"Michael always had strict rules that we worked out together," the report said. "He kept his job strictly separately from the private side, and he never deviated from that.

"There was never a 'home story', and no journalist ever had his phone number," it added.

Apparently, the family is already selling off some assets owing to Michael Schumacher's condition.

In February, Corrina, sold off their Norwegian family home for $2.82 million which was then described as a grim acceptance that Michael Schumacher's condition might not improve.

"A foreign buyer is said to have bought the 46-year-old's mountain home, in Trysil, north of Oslo, for £1.8million," said the Telegraph.

As early as August last year, it was already reported that his private jet was put up for sale, but the amount quoted then was for $20 million.

According to the London's Daily Mirror, Corinna was selling the grey Falcon 2000EX jet, which is described as capable of flying eight passengers at 600 miles per hour. It also has a personal insigna for the Formula One champion on the tail.

When he was still active in Formula One, Michael Schumacher reportedly traveled between 300 to 400 hours every year using the jet around the world. When he wasn't competing, he uses the jet to fly his family to destinations, or shuttle his kids, Gina Maria, 17, and Mick, 15 to their school in Switzerland.

Sabine Kehm said that photographers have been camping near the Lake Geneva's property hoping to get news of Michael Schumacher's condition. There are even helicopters flying around with paparazzi on board with telephoto lens.

"It is never relaxed, because this is a permanent load," she said.
