CL rocked the house and delighted fans in Thailand when she made a special performance in an anniversary party for one of the country's poshest shopping centers.

On June 8, CL uploaded a photo on Instagram thanking the club for inviting her to the exclusive shindig.

The idol wrote: "Thank you again @centralembassy for having me #cebirthday1"

The photo shows CL standing on stage, wearing a printed outfit, shades and her sleek new hairstyle while starstruck partygoers recorded videos with their mobile phones.

Central Embassy is a shopping center in Bangkok, Thailand filled with shops for designer labels. The luxury mall, which opened on May 9, 2014 was celebrating its first anniversary. It is built on the grounds of the former British Embassy in Thailand, hence the name.

The special appearance comes amid CL's preparations for a solo debut in the United States. Already, the 2NE1 leader has made waves and impressed music critics with her recent collaboration with DJ Diplo in "Doctor Pepper."

The track is meant to be a prelude vehicle for her full-length album release stateside. YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk has said that CL's solo debut success in the United States will play a big role on how the 2NE1 will promote in the country. Yang insists that the group will not disband and is even scheduled to release a new album later this year.
