MBLAQ Drops Symbolism-Filled Music Video For 'Mirror' As Group Reinvents Themselves As M3LAQ [VIDEO]

MBLAQ is back, minus two members.

The Korean boy band MBLAQ released their eighth mini-album "Mirror" and the music video fro the title song on June 9 in Korea. MBLAQ made their return with "Mirror" as a three member act for the first time, following the departure of two members at the end of 2014.

The music video for "Mirror" includes multiple shots hinting to the group's new beginning as a trio after formerly being a quintet.

The mini-album's title track "Mirror" is a smooth R&B song, and the music video showcases the members in a variety of scenes. The final scene in the video represented the group's new beginning, with the current members walking through open doors while two closed doors go untouched. Another scene shows members in a car with member Mir sitting in the back seat alone behind two suit jackets.

The video for "Mirror" ends with the words "MBLAQ Mirror" but the group's name is stylized as "M3LAQ."

The members of MBLAQ wrote some of the lyrics of "Mirror," which was created by 1Take.

The group's current line up is made up of leader Seungho, vocalist G.O, and rapper Mir. Former members Lee Joon and Thunder (Park Sang Hyun) have pursued solo careers since leaving MBLAQ.

MBLAQ's previous release was the group's seventh mini album, "Winter," in November 2014. It was the final album to include all five original members.

The once-quintet debuted in 2009 and were produced by solo artist Rain. In the past, the group released dance and R&B songs.

Fans greeted the group's comeback as a trio.

"I didn't know what to expect after two member left, but it was amazing as always!" wrote YouTube user Loujayen P.A. "[It] makes me want to cry! Well done MBLAQ!"
