Brown Eyed Girls Deny Disbandment Rumors And Reveal Comeback Plans

Korean reports announced the disbandment of South Korea's Brown Eyed Girls, but rumors were quickly shut down.

The K-pop quintet Brown Eyed Girls is not disbanding despite initial reports stating otherwise. On June 10, Korean media reported that the group was no longer together, but Brown Eyed Girls' company denied the claims.

Rather than disbanding, Brown Eyed Girls is working on new music to release in 2015.

"They're currently preparing a new album that will be released this year," Brown Eyed Girls representative said after denying the disbandment rumors.

Brown Eyed Girls became famous for songs like "Abracadabra" and "Sixth Sense." The dance for "Abracadabra" is known as the arrogant dance and was featured in the music video for Psy's song "Gentleman," where Brown Eyed Girls' Ga-In starred alongside the rapper.

Ga-In's career as a soloist and the group's lack of releases in 2015 were some of the reasons given by the initial reports regarding the alleged disbandment of the group. The fact that Ga-In is signed to a seperate company than the other members of Brown Eyed Girls was also cited as a cause of the misreported disbandment, due to allegedly causing scheduling difficulties for the members.

Brown Eyed Girls is a four member vocal group featuring Narsha, Ga-In, Jea, and rapper Miryo. Brown Eyed Girls debuted as a group in 2006, and the group's last compilation album, "Special Moments," was released in August 2014.
