TVXQ Take Series Of Precautions Against MERS In Order To Hold Concert Finale

Despite many recent cancellations in response to the MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) scare in South Korea, TVQX revealed that they will be continuing their upcoming concerts but with thorough precautious.

TVXQ is scheduled to perform at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastic Stadium for "TVXQ! SPECIAL LIVE TOUR - T1ST0RY - &...!" on June 13 and 14. Instead of cancelling, Star News reported a series of precautions that will be put in place by concert staff.

First, fumigators will be set up alone the important entrance routes into the concert area. This will be the primary means of MERS prevention for concert goers. They plan on using a disinfectant fumigator that is 100 perfect harmless to the human body. Using expert fumigator companies, SM Entertainment's concert staff informed that they will be disinfecting the waiting room, seats, and stage on the mornings of both shows.

In addition to fumigators, thermal cameras equipped with detection alarms will be placed outside the venue and around the entrance gate. "There will be health care personnel placed around the venue. If someone's temperature is higher than normal they will take action and run brief medical tests to get an accurate diagnosis," concert staff said. "If the temperature is higher than normal and a fever is detected, entrance into the show will not be permitted."

"We encourage fans with a fever, cough, or generally feeling unwell to please get rest and refrain from attending the concert" they urged. Furthermore, all penalty fees for ticket cancellations have been waived and fans can cancel their tickets right up to the concert day. They are also accepting already shipped tickets to be mailed back to the ticketing office. If sent back before June 26 fans can get their money back.

SM Entertainment is prohibiting all outside booths. Instead of attending merchandise booths on site, official merchandise will be sold online. There will also be no ticket sales at the door. SM staff are further discouraging fans from having meetings and giveaways, and ask that they arrive to the stadium at opening time rather than waiting outside all day.

Finally, they ask audience members to help with their precautionary steps by wearing masks inside the concert, using hand sanitizer, and washing their hands frequently. They concluded with, "We will be doing our best to ensure fans enjoy the concert in a very healthy and hygienic way."

The two night "TVXQ! SPECIAL LIVE TOUR - T1ST0RY - &...!" concert will be one of the last times fans can watch Yunho and Changmin perform together before Yunho's enlistment in July.
