Sooyoung Goes Pink For Girls' Generation's Summer Comeback
After revealing a new haircut only a few weeks earlier, Girls' Generation's Choi Sooyoung shocked fans once again by showing off her light pink hair.
The member of one South Korea's most popular girl groups took to Instagram on June 10, where she posted a selfie of herself and her newly dyed pink hair. Sooyoung had revealed a short bob haircut on May 20, which led to a flurry of speculations that Girls' Generation was in the midst of preperations of a new album.
Sooyoung shared the picture shortly after arriving in Thailand, where the girl group is reportedly filming their upcoming music video.
Fans who saw the picture on Instagram left comments complimenting Sooyoung's new hair color and welcoming the Korean idol to Thailand.
Beginning in May, several Girls' Generation members showed off new hairstyles through social media, heralding the group's first Korean comeback of 2015.
As one of K-pop's top groups, Girls' Generation's next album is highly anticipated as it is the first Korean release since 2014's mini album, "Mr. Mr."
This will be the first time Girls' Generation promotes a new album in South Korea since former member Jessica Jung left the group, the first time their lineup has changed since Girls' Generation debuted under SM Entertainment in 2007.
The eight member girl group released the Japanese single "Catch Me If You Can" earlier this year, but will release their first full length album of 2015 in late June or early July.
