K-Pop Mixtape: Korea's Hottest Hip-Hop And Rap Collaborations

As the hip-hop and rap trend continues to grow in South Korea, there are more collaborations than ever before. New artists are rising to fame while veterans are continuing to the slay the industry.

Here are some of the hottest hip-hop collaborations to come out of Korea in recent years:

"Born Hater" Epik High featuring Beenzino, Verbal Jint, Bobby, MINO, and B.I

Epik High made their highly anticipated comeback last October with the album Shoebox featuring a number of "epic" tracks. Among them was a collaboration that blew fans away. "Born Hater" is a massive collaboration between Epik High and five other artists. The powerful track features strong raps and an addictive beat with each rapper showcasing their own unique flare.

"Three Dopeboyz" by Dynamic Duo and Zion.T

True to the title, these "three dope boys" came on as strong as the bass. During their Amoeba Culture American Tour in New York and Atlanta, "Three Dopeboyz" made the crowds go wild with their blended sound.

"Tough Cookie" by Zico and Don Mills

Block B rapper Zico teamed up with Don Mills for the forceful track "Tough Cookie." The music video featured Zico in a tub of cookies which seemed to be one of the msot memorable parts of the video itself. "Tough Cookie" won the award for Best Rap Song at the KMC Awards in 2014 further securing the song's popularity.

"Memoride" by Outsider, Tymee, Ven, and San-E

Famous speed rapper Outsider, female rapstar Tymee, vocalist Ven, and "rap genius" San-E banded together for the track 'Memoride' off Outsider's Rebirth album. Despite the peppy presentation of their charismatic voices, the lyrics talk about moving on from a relationship.

"Bucku Bucku" by MFBTY featuring EE, Rap Monster and Dino-J

For their extended album 'Wondaland', MFBTY teamed up with BTS's Rap Monster, electro-dance team and couple EE, and Dino-J for a hardcore bass filled track with strong lyrics. The team showed off not only their incredible raps but as well their comedic chemistry through various scenes.

Primary and The Messengers by Primary

Primary and The Messengers is an album record producer Primary which featured a slew of hip-hop and R&B artists including, Dynamic Duo, Palo Alto, Yankie, Simon D, and many more. "?(Question Mark)" featuring Choiza and Zion.T sold over 2.2 million singles launching Primary into and even higher success.

"Feel So Young" by Ugly Duck, Zico, and Crush

Rappers Ugly Duck and Zico came together with R&B vocalist Crush to produce a supreme remix of Gaeko's original track "Rhythm is Life." "Feel So Young" won Collaboration of the Year at the 2013 HipHopPlaya Awards.

"Puss" AOA's Jimin featuring Iron

AOA's leader Jimin surprised many of us with her shocking performance of "Puss" during the season one Unpretty Rapstar finale. Jimin's tenacious and colorful lyrics allowed fans and audiences alike to see another side to the lead AOA rapper. Show Me The Money contestent Iron also featured, adding even more flare to the performance.

"Sold Out" by Yankie featuring Loco, Tablo, and Zion.T

With a sound reminiscent of the 1990s, Yankie released "Sold Out" off his latest full-length album, Andre. Even the fashion choice in the music video is reminscent of the golden era of hip-hop. The colorfully eye-grabbing outfits was rivaled only by a gang of dynamic rap styles.

Bonus: "AOMG Cypher" by AOMG

Though not officially released, the members of the AOMG record label came together for a group cypher. With a track produced by Cha Cha Malone, rappers Jay Park, Simon D, Gray, Ugly Duck, and Loco came together in a unified rap that left fans awaiting an official release.
