It is being argued that IU's supposed "confession" that was revealed in a magazine interview from before her rise to fame was merely a misinterpretation done by the magazine.

On January 4th, one magazine shared that when they asked IU about whether she had gotten any cosmetic surgery done, her reply was "I'm too scared to even think about it yet. I put on a lot of make up to compensate." 

The magazine's opinion is that their competitor that published interview in question simply misinterpreted what she said which led to the inclusion of the line (circled in red) "she even coolly revealed that she had light work done on her face, not caring that this information may work against her in the future."  

IU had announced to the public last year that she "hasn't had a plastic surgery but did lose a lot of weight."

As was previously reported, a producer from Loen Entertainment, the management company that IU is signed to, has threatened on Tweeter to sue those responsible if the rumor does not stop. (top picture)
