2PM'S Taecyeon To Join The Cast of Upcoming KBS Drama

It's been confirmed that 2PM's Taecyeon has signed on as part of the cast of KBS's upcoming political drama, "Assembly."

The actor/idol will take on the supporting role of Kim Gyu Han, an aspiring police officer who spends his days in the library, studying diligently as he prepares for his entrance exams and his evenings working as a chauffeur.

Co-star Jang Hyun Sung will take on the role of Baek Do Hyun, a politician who comes from an elite, royal Korean lineage. Jang previously starred in SBS's "Heard It Through The Grapevine."

Jung Jae Young, Song Yun Ah and Kim Seo Hyeong have also been confirmed as cast members.

As the cast for "Assembly" continues to shape up, Taecyeon remains as busy on the small screen as he is on the stage, currently taking part in tvN's reality cooking show, "Three Meals A Day" while also promoting for 2PM's latest comeback. The band's fifth mini-album, No. 5 and the video for their title track, "My House," was released on June 16.

You can expect to find Taecyeon filling the shoes of the studious Kim Gyu Han on July 15, after the run of KBS's currently airing drama, "Masked Prosecutor."
