Dave Grohl Injury More Serious? Rest of Foo Fighters European Concert Cancelled?

The Foo Fighters won't be headlining this year's Glastonbury Festival due to Dave Grohl's broken leg.

In a report on BBC, it was mentioned that Foo Fighters has cancelled their remaining European tour dates this June to give Dave Grohl's broken leg a chance to heal.

Among Foo Fighters cancelled tour dates due to Dave Grohl's broken leg are their two-night gig at the Wembley Stadium in London, their performance at the Murrayfield Stadium in Scotland and Festival Park Werchter in Belgium. They also cancelled their headline appearance for the 2015 Glastonbury Festival on June 26.

In a post made by Dave Grohl at the band's official website, he even said "PS... Kanye... Imma let you have this one" as Kanye is the second headliner at the Glastonbury Festival.

He also explained why they had to cancel some of their shows.

"The most important thing now is for me to recover from the surgery, to keep my leg elevated so as to keep swelling down and prevent any infection/complication that could do long term damage," he wrote on their website.

"I'm really so sorry, guys. You know I hate to do it, but I'm afraid it's just not physically possible for me at the moment. We're doing our best right now to work out a plan, so bear with us," he added.

Dave Grohl also left this promise to fans when his broken leg is fixed.

"You have always stood by our band, and we will always stand by you," he said in the Foo Fighters website.

"Like I say at every show, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for you guys. And I mean that. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And I will do everything I can to come back and give you a night to remember for the rest of your lives AS SOON AS POSSIBLE," he ensured.

Dave Grohl also shared on the post behind-the-scene details regarding this broken leg, his decision to continue the show in Sweden despite the injury, being rushed to the hospital after the concert and his operation.

Dave Grohl got a broken leg after falling off the stage at the band's Sweden concert last June 12. The next day, their concert in the Netherlands and Switzerland were cancelled. Foo Fighters will start touring again in July, according to their website. They will be back in Europe in November.
