Three Dead in Las Vegas Gun Fight on Thursday Morning [REPORT]

Three people died during a gun fight on the Las Vegas strip this morning.

Two cars, which were an SUV and a Maserati, exchanged gunfire until three were dead right on the Las Vegas strip.

The gunfight ensued until the Maseriti crashed into a taxi at an intersection. The taxi busted into flames, killing the driver of the cab. Then, the SUV would drive off after the Maserati crashed.

"Three other vehicles were involved in the wreck, but the SUV was gone when police arrived," Sgt. Sheahan told the Associated Press.

The person behind the wheel of the Maserati was dead, as well as the cab-driver and someone riding in the cab. No names of the three dead in Vegas have been given.

The passenger of the Maserati survived, but has been hospitalized.  Four others were taken to University Medical Center. The hospital's spokeswoman, Danita Cohen told the Associated Press that three were treated and released, while one person remained in the hospital. Their condition was not released.

A tourist who witnessed the aftermath of the crash told KLAS-TV the burning taxi looked like a fireball.

The intersection of the incident is expected to be closed, according to the Associated Press. It is assumed further investigation is needed.

Earlier in the year, there was a shooting on the strip, which wounded two and last week, someone was stabbed at The Hotel of Mandalay Bay.

This had the makings of the climax action-scene in a movie.  It took place right along the famous strip of Las Vegas. Hit movies have been filmed across this strip, including the Hangover, Showgirls, Iron Man and Ocean's Eleven, the original of 1964 and the George Clooney trilogy.

No further information has been released.
