Fans, Critics Hate Madonna's New Video? 'B***h, I'm Madonna' Video Filled With Taylor Swift Foes?

Madonna's new video for "B***h I'm Madonna" is reportedly driving the crowd wild the wrong way.

According to a report on the Washington Post, Madonna's new video may have been star-studded but it did not pop like her other videos that pushed boundaries.

"It feels empty, desperate and wholly unoriginal - a sad development for an artist who used to refuse to conform," Stephanie Merry said in her report on The Washington Post.

"Madonna's ambitions for her video are no less obvious, but they're a lot less persuasive," the report added. 'She wants to get in on the #SquadGoals trend, showing off her alliances with a powerful posse."

Even E! Online weighed in on the new video and said Madonna's new video purportedly did not live up to the #SquadGoals trend.

"We have some questions about her squad," the E! Online article said.

"It's not doubtful that she has a professional relationship with all of these players, but can anyone say with certainty that she would ever be found in a room with these people if she weren't trying to put together a super buzzy music video?" it added.

Fans were also not happy about Madonna's new video. Many complained on Twitter why it had to be released on Tidal instead of Vevo or Youtube. Hollywood Life reported that fans complained because they have to sign up to Tidal first and pay about $10 to take a peek of Madonna's new video.

Among the celebrities featured on Madonna's new video were Beyonce, Chris Rock, Alexander Wang, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and Diplo, according to USA Today.

Taylor Swift's alleged nemesis Katy Perry whom she reportedly slammed in the #SquadGoal video "Bad Blood" was also featured on Madonna's new video. Rita Ora, who happens to be Calvin Harris ex, was also in the video as well as Kanye West who once dissed Swift onstage.

Prior to the release of Madonna's new video, many have observed its similarity to Swift's "Bad Blood" video. As reported by Fox News, the poster alone had the same feel and both videos were star-studded.

Swift didn't mind though, according to Hollywood Life.

"Taylor [couldn't] wait to see the video, she's the biggest Madonna fan," a source said to Hollywood Life.

"It's surreal to her to have all these people talking about how Madonna could be doing her own version of 'Bad Blood,'" the source added. "She can't get over it!"
