Shinhwa Reign Supreme At Half-Way Mark In KpopStarz Mid-Year Polls

The weekend brought little change in the KpopStarz's mid-year polls standings as veteran group, Shinhwa, still manage to reign supreme in all three categories.

In the category of Best K-Pop Song, Shinhwa's "Sniper" still holds a hefty margin over the competition, raking in 45.27 percent of the votes. INFINITE H's "Pretty" still holds second with 11.05 percent of the votes but EXO's "Call Me Baby" is hot on its heels with a mere 0.04 percent separating the two.

Super Junior D&E's "Growing Pains" makes an impressive jump to fourth with 7.56 percent of the votes, knocking Jung Yong Hwa's "One Fine Day" down to fifth. In an equally impressive move, SHINee's "View" jumps from tenth to sixth, knocking Junsu's "Flower" down to eight. BTS's "I NEED U" moves into seventh with 3.28 percent of the votes while Big Bang's "Loser" drops down into ninth. GOT7's "Around the World" holds a 0.5 percent lead over VIXX's "Love Equation" and a 0.6 percent lead over Jang Hyun Seung's "Ma First" making the competition for the final spot in the Top Ten fierce.

Coming in first with 37.44 percent of the votes, Shinhwa still holds a comfortable lead over the competition in the category of Best K-Pop Group. Though the veteran group did lose nearly 6 percentage points over the weekend the group still holds a comfortable lead over the competition coming in with 37.44 percent of the votes. INFINITE still holds a strong grip on second with 15.14 percent of the votes while Super Junior makes an impressive jump into the Top Three with 13.3 percent, knocking fellow SM boy group, EXO, down to fourth.

With 5.41 percent of the votes, TVXQ holds steady at fifth while BTS moves up one place, clinching sixth. With 0.06 percent of a difference between GOT7 and CNBLUE the intense battle for seventh sets the tone for those groups vying for a spot in the Top Ten. 0.16 percent separates Big Bang and BEAST as they duke it out for eighth while 0.2 percent of the votes stands between Boyfriend, who made an impressive jump in the rankings over the weekend, and VIXX.  2PM holds a 0.4 percent lead over F.T. Island but JYP's veteran boy group is going to have to step up their game if they hope to make it into the Top Ten.

Little has changed in the category of Best K-Pop Artist as Shinhwa's Andy still holds onto first with 17.6 percent of the votes. TVXQ's U-Know Yunho holds steady in second with 13.8 percent of the votes while Andy's bandmate, Minwoo holds a mere half percent lead over JYJ's Jaejoong who comes in at fourth.

Shinhwa's Hyesung, Dongwan, Andy and Jun Jin still clinch the fifth through eighth positions while JYJ's Yoochun jumps to ninth over SNSD's Jessica Jung. With Shinhwa claiming six places in the Top Ten one has to wonder if any other artists have what it takes to dethrone these kings of K-pop.

Will any one artist, band or song have what it takes to break Shinhwa's week-long hold on the number one position? That's entirely up to you so be sure to cast your vote daily
