Exes Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson spent some quality time together on Monday after being seated next to each other on their flight out of Toronto after attending the 2015 Much Music Video Awards.

TMZ reported that Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson were able to avoid bumping into each other during the awards night on Sunday. They were not as lucky afterwards being seated on First Class beside one another.

Despite the breakup, Pop Sugar shared that exes Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson still cozied up as friends and was "sweet" and "funny" about their predicament. Simpson even went on to Snapchat to share what would have been an awkward moment for other exes.

"When u get seated next to ur ex on a plane," he captioned on a picture of the two of them on Snapchat as quoted by PopSugar.

Even prior to Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson being seated to each other on a flight, the model shared in an interview with Canada's Etalk that she and Simpson are cool with each other despite the split.

"My ex-boyfriend is here, I still think he's cute [blows kiss to the camera]," Gigi Hadid said about Cody Simpson when asked for her crush during the 2015 Much Music Video Awards night.

"He's a great friend of mine," she added.

E! Online has previously reported that Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson ended up as friends when they ended their relationship in May.

"Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career," Hadid's representative told E!.

"They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future," the representative added.

"They remain friends with no hard feelings and each other's biggest supporters," Gigi Hadid's representative finally said on her breakup with Cody Simpson.
