Shinhwa Prove Hard To Beat As Voting Continues In The KpopStarz Mid-Year Polls

With seven days left to vote in KPopStarz's Mid-Year K-Pop Awards, veteran group Shinhwa still holds a firm grasp on first in all three categories.

Coming in with 35.75 percent of the votes in the category of Best K-Pop Group, Shinhwa holds a 20 percent lead over the second place competition. Holding 15.26 percent of the votes, SM's veteran group, Super Junior, takes a 0.47 percent lead over INFINITE, knocking Woollim's beloved boy group down to third.

With 10.53 percent of the votes, EXO has a tight grip on fourth while TVXQ holds steady in fifth. With a 0.8 percent lead over GOT7, BTS keeps their hold on sixth while JYP's martial arts tricking boy group takes a decisive lead over yesterday's seventh place competitor, CNBLUE. With GOT7 clinching seventh, CNBLUE claims eight for their own, taking a 0.78 percent lead over Big Bang, who comes in at ninth but BEAST, coming in at number ten, is hot on their heels. Though not in the Top Ten, Boyfriend, VIXX and 2PM are all less than 1 percentage point away from claiming the number ten position which means the final standings in these mid-year awards are still too close to call.

In the category of Best K-Pop Artist, Shinhwa's Eric continues to claim the number one position as his own with 17.21 percent of the votes. TVXQ's U-Know Yunho claims 13.32 percent of the votes as well as the rank of second while Shinhwa's Minwoo holds steady in third.

JYJ's Jaejoong continues to claim number four as his own while Shinhwa's Hyesung remains in control of fifth. Bandmate Andy moves up to sixth, knocking the group's vocalist, Dongwan, down to seventh while lead rapper and dancer, Jun Jin, holds steady in eighth. JYJ's Yoochun keeps a tight hold on his position in ninth while SNSD's Jessica Jung comes in at tenth.

Shinhwa's "Sniper" continues to dominate the polls in the category of Best K-Pop Song, coming in with an impressive 43.13 percent of the votes. EXO's "Call Me Baby" reclaims its position at number two, though a mere 0.05 percent is all that stands between it and INFINITE H's "Pretty" which comes in at number three.

Super Junior D&E's "Growing Pains" takes fourth with 9.2 percent of the votes, giving it a comfortable 4.36 percent lead over SHINee's "View". Falling to sixth, Jung Yong Hwa's "One Fine Day" holds a 1 percent lead BTS' "I NEED U", which stays steady in seventh. Big Bang's "Loser" and Junsu's "Flower" are in hot competition for eighth as a mere 0.1 percent separates the two. GOT7's Japanese single "Around the World" takes a 0.7 percent lead over the competition, clinching the final spot in this category's Top Ten.

There's still plenty of time left to vote for your favorites in KPopStarz's Mid-Year "Best of" Polls so be sure to cast your vote daily!
