New SISTAR Song 'Bad Guy' Draws Comparisons To 'Flower' By JYJ Member Kim Junsu

SISTAR is shaking Korea up with their latest "Shake It" EP, but one song on the album is causing some trouble.

The Korean girl group SISTAR returned to the K-pop summer scene with the new album and lead single of the same name on Tuesday, but another song is gaining a lot of attention. Some online commenters have pointed out that the "Shake It" track "Bad Guy" contains a verse that is stylistically similar to a part of another song "Flower," by JYJ member Kim Junsu (also known by the stage name XIA) which was released on March 2, 2015.

"Bad Guy" features Mad Clown, who also partook in creating the song. The song was composed and arranged by The Name and STEREO 14. "Flower" was written by XIA and Kim Tae Won.

Netizenbuzz, a website that shares topics from Korean forums and translates them, shared a composite video that shows the similarities between the two songs. The website also posted a visual comparison of the sheet music, showing the similarities.

Korean netizens (Internet citizens) are calling for SISTAR's company, Starship Entertainment, to address the alleged plagiarism.

"This is exactly the same except the last note," one Korean commenter wrote on the Pann article. "I'm not even a XIA fan, but I listened to that song so many times. And it's not like the song ["Flower"] did poorly. Did they think they could get away with it?"

XIA's third studio album "Flower" appeared in the number one spot on the Korean Gaon Chart immediately after being released in March.

SISTAR's mini album, "Shake It" was released on June 22.
