Legendary rock band Bon Jovi is ready to move on from their "What About Now" saga as a new record is confirmed to be underway. Fans will get their hands on Bon Jovi new album in 2016.

Band vocalist Jon Bon Jovi confirmed rumors of them working on a new album last February with People magazine.

"I was in the studio all day working on the new record. I walked here from the studio," he said.

The lead singer stated that he is feeling good about this new album, confirming 12 new songs. When asked what keeps him going until now, he said current events and social awareness serve as his inspiration in making new materials.

"I just read the paper, it gives you an opportunity to write something. It's early but I'm about a dozen songs in. I feel good," he replied.

Furthermore, band keyboardist David Bryan confirmed that once Bon Jovi new album is out in 2016, the band will go on tour.

"We always do album/tour. We put out an album ['What About Now'] in 2013 and toured all 2013 - 102 shows to 3 million people." Bryan told Philly.com. "We're back in the studio and we'll have an album out next year. That's our cycle."

Meanwhile, fans might be wondering if there is a possibility of former lead guitarist Richie Sambora, who left in the midst of the "Because We Can" tour, to reunite with the band soon. It is worth noting that Bon Jovi new album will be the first ever not to be graced by Jon's right hand man.

Unfortunately, Jon Bon Jovi along with his band mates is firm with their decision of not counting Sambora in to their line-up anytime soon. According to Jon via The Music Universe, "I'd be hard-pressed to [allow him to return], so would Dave[Bryan], so would Tico [Torres, drummer]," he claims. "It'd be a lot for us. After a year and a half and you miss 80 shows - I don't think that's possible."

Richie Sambora is currently collaborating with Australian guitarist-turned-girlfriend, Orianthi.
