The annual 85th Academy Awards set for tonight at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Academy tweeted few minutes before the first lady made her appearance stating, "We've got a little surprise presenter planned for Best Picture."

It took everyone by surprise as Michelle Obama presented the Best Picture live from the White House. Presenting the award Obama shared, "[These films] taught us that love can beat all odds,"

"They reminded us that we can overcome any obstacle if we dig deep enough and fight hard enough and find the courage within ourselves," she added.

The 85th Annual Academy Awards is at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. It will air live on the ABC Television Network at 8:30 p.m. ET in the United States as well as in more than 255 countries worldwide. It will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane.
