Jamie Foxx Attends Oscars 2013 With Daughter Corinne Bishop; Flirts With Kelly Rowland On Red Carpet, Casting Rowland For Future Role?

Jamie Foxx, lead actor of Best Screenplay Academy Award winner ‘Django Unchained’, attended the Oscars 2013 ceremony last night with his daughter Corinne Bishop, where he hit on Kelly Rowland on the red carpet.

When Jamie Foxx stopped for an interview with ABC’s guest correspondent Kelly Rowland on the Oscars Red Carpet, he appeared to hit on the 32-year-old singer.

Foxx told Rowland, “When I saw you, first of all, I’ve always had a crush on you. Listen…”

But Rowland stopped him there.

She responded, “I’m very embarrassed right now. He’s a gentleman. I’m gonna stop him right now. I know, stop it. I love me some Jamie.”

Rowland may not even be single; in December the Destiny’s Child singer and Super Bowl 2013 guest performer was romantically linked to R&B singer The Dream.

The apparently flirtatious conversation between Foxx and Rowland happened while Corinne Foxx Bishop, Jamie Foxx’s 19-year-old daughter, was on his arm. You can watch the interaction courtesy of Huffington Post below.

Twitter users instantly reacted to Foxx’s attempts at flirtation and his daughter’s indifferent response.

One user commented, "This Kelly Rowland/Jamie Foxx interview is really awkward. #oscars".

Another picked up on the awkward interaction, "Anyone else notice that awkward moment when Kelly Rowland went in to smell Jamie Foxx's cologne and he tried to kiss her? Anyone??"

Corinne Foxx Bishop wore a beautiful blue gown to the Oscars. Bishop also attended the Golden Globes with her father, where she attracted significant attention as well. She reportedly has been working as a model.

Bishop seemed to be enjoying the night out with her father, despite Foxx’s attempts at flirtation. She tweeted, “My dad and I are hilarious at awards shows. We get star struck then stalk people until we get pics.”

Perhaps Foxx was simply star struck by Kelly Rowland, and not trying to get a date.

However, the ‘Django Unchained’ actor may have had a different motive altogether.

Foxx is directing “Project Imagination”, a piece for Ron Howard. Some reports claim he was trying to cast Roland for a role in his new project while chatting her up.

After the Academy Awards ended, Jamie Foxx planned to go onto the Jimmy Kimmel show, according to his tweet, “Amazing show! Now it’s party time w/@jimmykimmel #Oscars #AfterParty."
