Big Bang Daesung to Release Japan Solo Album on February 27, "I Want to Spread J-Pop to Korea"

Big Bang member Daesung will be releasing his solo debut Japan album tomorrow.

Daesung will be releasing his solo debut Japan album, D'scover, tomorrow. This album will include 10 J-Pop cover songs and 2 of his own songs.

During a recent interview with Japan media he stated the reasoning behind his album track list.

He stated, "After I felt that J-Pop had a lot of good music, that was when I started to show a lot of interest and study the world of J-Pop."

He continued, "Out of 200 songs, I chose 10 to cover for my album. The lyrics, the feeling I felt when I first heard the song, whether or not my voice would fit the song, were all things I took into consideration before choosing a song. I also listened to a lot of J-Pop to be able to really feel and understand the genre. I also worked hard to find my own style and not just copy the original artist."

He also added, "After listening to so many songs, I've become a real fan of J-Pop. I felt that there were many songs that not even people in Japan would know. I worked hard to find good music. I want to spread the world of J-Pop to Korea."

On January 30, Daesung had revealed the through Big Bang's official Japan website that he would be releasing his first solo Japan album.

Many people are anticipating his first album with 12 songs.

'D'Scover' will include songs that have received much love and support in Japan. They will be recreated to fit Daesung's style and voice. He also worked with top producers to create this album as well.

On the other hand, Daesung will be holding his solo concert in Japan starting on March 23-24  and continuing on to March 30-31 and meet with 40,000 fans.
