Fans Of JYJ's Kim Jaejoong Asked Not To Send Gifts During Singer's Military Service

C-JeS Entertainment has requested that fans stop sending singer-actor Kim Jaejoong gifts and letters.

Jaejoong, undoubtedly one of Korea's most popular celebrities, began his mandatory military service on March 31. He is assigned to the 55th Bonghwa Division as a member of the army band.

Since the details of his enlistment are public, fans of Jaejoong have been giving their love and warm wishes in the form of different packages and letters. As a result, Jaejoong's agency C-JeS Entertainment have asked that that stop sending excessive amounts of mail to him. "Due to the increasing number of letters and packages for Jaejoong, various institutions are suffering from the heavy workload. This can unintentionally cause difficulties for other soldiers and their families," C-JeS explained according to Korea Herald.

C-JeS also pointed out that Jaejoong had asked fans not to send him anything in a video message released prior to his enlistment. In the video he asked explicitly for fans to not send him mail and gifts, saying that he does not need material attachment to remember his fans' love.

Jaejoong enlisted on March 31 after hosting a final goodbye tour for his fans on March 28 and 29 in Seoul. He will be discharged from service after 21 months and is projected to return in December 2016.
