Beyoncé Building To Rise In Australia; Design Based On 'Ghost' Music Video!

Beyoncé's influence has encompassed more than music. The curves featured in her "Ghost" video has also given rise to a Beyoncé'-inspired building to be built in Australia.

As reported by MTV, the Grammy-winning singer's video has inspired the future of one of the skyscrapers in The Land Down Under, particularly in Melbourne.

"For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic - we're going to trust you've seen the music video for Beyoncé's 'Ghost,'" architectural firm Elenberg Fraser said on their website as quoted by MTV.

Fans of the singer immediately took to social media, as cited by MTV, to praise the concept of the building.

"[It has a] pure and simple, first principles rationale - Occam himself would be proud," said the firm website as well about the building as quoted by The Independent.

"This project is the culmination of our significant research into how to best work with individual site and climatic constraints, brought together using our new parametric modelling techniques," it added about the Beyoncé building in Australia.

"The complex form - a vertical cantilever - is actually the most effective way to redistribute the building's mass, giving the best results in terms of structural dispersion, frequency oscillation and wind requirements," the firm also described of the new project.

The inspiration itself for the building design can be seen in the "Ghost" video's 1:15 mark.

According to The Guardian, the Beyoncé video featured "women trapped inside tubes of stretchy fabric." The shape formed by the human body in the video has been translated and can soon be seen in the curved floors of the rising Premier Tower in Melbourne.

The would-be 78-storey Melbourne building was reportedly that first Beyoncé-inspired building in Australia, according to The Independent.
