'Forever' TV Series Cancelled For Good? Series Creator Wishes To Give Fans Better News

"Forever" couldn't find a new home after ABC cancelled the TV series. Creator Matt Miller apologized to fans as he said that he wished he could have given them some good news.

In a Twitter post, Matt Miller wrote that Warner Bros. couldn't find "Forever" a new home which means that the TV seried is cancelled for good.

"I've been hesitant to reach out because I (like you) didn't want to believe that this was really the end. We had so much story left to tell, questions unanswered; romances unfulfilled; characters to introduce... But I suppose I was asking for trouble when I named the show Forever," he added. "We all knew this day would come, but when you're writing a character with 200 years of backstory, 22 episodes doesn't seem like enough."

The news about "Forever" being cancelled was announced in May this year and it prompted fans to upload a petition on Change.org for the other networks to pick up the series after its cancellation by ABC

It said, "Since Forever has been dropped by the ABC Television Network, and the show is owned by Warner Brothers, we are joining together to petition for the return of the show to another network or alternative venue."

Series lead actor Ioan Gruffud admitted he got surprised that "Forever" got cancelled. The actor took to his Instagram https://instagram.com/p/2aMT5WyLQf/ to write, "I knew the numbers hadn't been great, but I also knew the studio and the network both loved the show, and of course that it had an incredible fan base...so I thought we were in with a pretty good chance."

"But sadly no, this time the cards weren't dealt in our favor. Show business is like that. Hell, life is like that," he added. "You ride to the top of the wave and then you come crashing down again."
