Yura Of Girl's Day Joins Korean-Chinese Audition Program 'Super Idol' As Host

Girl's Day member Yura has been chosen as the host of the upcoming Korean-Chinese idol audition program Super Idol, reports Allkpop.

Yura was chosen mainly because of her bubbliness and experience as a host. She is expected to add her bright personality in Super Idol, an idol search show that will focus on the journeys of potential trainees that will be debuting in China.

Super Idol is a collaboration between Korea's MBC Music and China's TV Zone, and will take trainees to task with weekly missions aimed at improving their idol performance skills.

Filming for Super Idol begins this July.

"Yura is adding to the abundant fun of 'Super Idol' as an MC with her smooth hosting and upbeat charms," a representative from the show reportedly said. "You'll be able to see a new side of Yura, not as the idol Yura, but as the host Yura, and see the Korean and Chinese youth working towards their dreams."

"We ask for a lot of anticipation for the first episode of the joint Korean-Chinese global audition program 'Super Idol,'" the rep added.

Yura has taken up the hosting mantle before in South Korean variety shows, the latest one being as a co-host in the popular SBS talent audition program K-Pop Star 4. Yura and the rest of Girl's Day are also currently promoting their new song "Ring My Bell" on music shows.
