Vanity Fair Declares Girls' Generation's 'Party' Best Song Of The Week

Popular American magazine Vanity Fair has chosen Girls' Generation's "Party" as the best song of the week, beating new tracks from the likes of Julia Holter, Jason Isbell, Eminem and Gwen Stefani.

In bestowing the distinction, Vanity Fair explained that what makes "Party" stand out from this week's crop of songs releases is its "wildly catchy" tune and blistering number of views for its beach-set music video.

"The best song of the week is Girls' Generation 'Party', posted above. This beachy pop song by Korean pop mega-girl group So Nyeo Shi Dae (S.N.S.D.), better known as Girls' Generation, is wildly catchy," gushed Vanity Fair.

"It was released July 7 and has already racked up 11 million (!!) views on YouTube, spreading across the internet so quickly it reminds you why videos are called 'viral'. There's no point in denying it, just give in, and bow down to your new K-Pop overlords," it added.

Girls' Generation member Tiffany thanks Vanity Fair for the praise, one of many the song has accumulated since its release.

YouTube also could not resist recommending "Party" to its millions of followers.

Likewise, music critics from Billboard and Fuse TV lauded "Party" as an "ode to partying with your ladies," and "one of the year's best girl anthems," respectively.

Girls' Generation has begun promoting "Party" on music shows and will follow up the pre-release track with their new album's two title tracks, "Lion Heart" and "You Think."
