K-pop Review: One Shot by B.A.P

"Punch" was basically a "No Mercy"/"Warrior" remix. I didn't like either one of those songs, and wasn't too fond of this song, though I thought it better. It was just signature B.A.P song with the loud background noise and the heavy drum beat, nothing amazing.

Score: .5/1

It took them 5 failed tries, but B.A.P has finally released a song (and for the most part, an album) that I can love.

"One Shot" is so catchy, and it's not hard on the ears in terms of background noise."One Shot" was a departure from what B.A.P songs usually sounds like. It still had the heavy drum and theatrical element, but rather than be completely rap oriented, the vocalist shined through, and added a great twist. This is what B.A.P should strive to sound like, this is a perfect balance of all the members and their skills.

Score: 1/1

Pre-releasing "Rain Sound" really got me excited for this B.A.P comeback. It was the first song of their's that I immediately liked. Its a great song, and I'm glad it, like "One Shot," breaks away from their usually overbearing theatrical hip hop sound. By letting the vocalist have bigger parts and toning down the rap/hip hop aspect of the song, B.A.P showed me a new and improved versions of themselves that I can't find anything wrong with. When Bang Yongguk and Zelo are not screaming for the majority of the song, I can really get an idea of what B.A.P is about.

Score: 1/1
