Chiller TV Network Adds Anime Block including 'Is This A Zombie?' And 'Devil May Cry'

Anime used to be a very risky business to get into. But now that comic books and other nerd culture are dominating various forms of entertainment, anime doesn't seem like a bad thing to license.

That is to say, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim aren't the only places you can watch anime anymore.

Today it was revealed that the Chiller TV Network would be once again adding an anime block to their Wednesday schedule. Among two other titles, the anime block will be led by "Is This a Zombie?" and "Devil May Cry."

So far, some fans appear to be in favor of Chiller adding anime to their lineup.

"More anime on TV isn't a bad thing I guess, and those appear to be good choices," said PurpleWarrior13 in an ANN forum.

Anime News Network reports the following Anime Block schedule for Chiller TV

"Is This a Zombie?" at 12:00 a.m.

"Tokyo Majin" at 12:30 a.m.

"Devil May Cry" at 1:00 a.m.

"Black Blood Brothers" at 1:30 a.m.

"Is This a Zombie?" was originally aired in 2011 with streaming by Crunchyroll to fans outside of Japan. Funimation then licensed the series for Blu-ray and DVD release. The series follows Ayumu, who is killed by a serial killer and then resurrected by a necromancer named Yu. Yu then demands that Ayumu help her fight her enemy Megalo.

"Devil May Cry" is described by ANN as follows: "The anime follows the adventures of the demon hunter Dante, who himself is half demon and half human. Dante is hired through his own business named "Devil May Cry". The characters are based off of the popular CAPCOM Playstation 2 games."

Despite the anime series chosen by Chiller being somewhat older, some fans are hoping that some success will inspire the channel to acquire more recent horror anime series like "Tokyo Ghoul."

Hopefully, Chiller will give horror anime fans their wish in the future.
