‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Cast ‘In Shock’ With Emmy Nominations, Tituss Burgess Already Feels Like A Winner?

It was lucky number seven for the Netflix show "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" for the 2015 Emmy Awards.

According to the complete list of nominees on the Emmys website, the American sitcom was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Tituss Burgess, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Jane Krakowski, Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Jon Hamm, Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Tina Fey, Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series for Jennifer Euston and Meredith Tucker and Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Comedy Series or a Variety Program for Jill Brown.

Both Burgess and Krakowski were surprised by the Emmy nod. Burgess even said he cried nonstop after hearing the news.

"I'm still in shock!" Krakowski told E! Online over the phone.

"I honestly thought I was being punk'd," she explained further. "I was like, 'Nooo way.' I didn't expect it at all. I was so shocked, and I'm just so thankful and thrilled and my heart really hasn't settled down yet."

Krakowski also shared how excited she is for Burgess' nomination.

"He called me and I saw his name come up on the thing, and we didn't even say 'hello,'" she said. "I just went, 'Oh. My. God.' We were both pretty excited."

For Burgess, the nomination was already an honor.

"I already won," Burgess, who portrayed Titus Andromedon in "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" told People about the Emmy nomination.

"Being in the conversation, being with those other nominees - I already won," he added.

He was saddened though that Ellie Kemper, who portrayed Kimmy, was not recognized. He insisted his performance and energy was due to Kemper's acting as well.

According to its Facebook page, the American sitcom followed that story of Kimmy, who was among four women that were rescued from a bunker, after they were told that the world was coming to an end. After the captivity, Kimmy ventured into the new world meeting characters like Andromedon and others.

Fans can find out if the "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" will win its first Emmy when the awards night comes on Sept. 20 in Los Angeles, according to Vanity Fair.
