K-Pop Boy Band Face-Off: Yunho's 'Champagne' Vs. Changmin's 'Rise As One' [POLL]

It's not often that members of the same group release competing tracks at the same time. Yet it also comes as little surprise that the members of TVXQ, known as the kings of K-pop, would "rise as gods" to the challenge.

The duo released their special album RISE AS GOD as a present to their fans prior to Yunho's military enlistment this week, accompanied with two stunning (but incredibly different) solo music videos: "Champagne" by Yunho and "Rise As One" by Changmin.

With a brightly colored suit and a bubbly bottle of champagne in the background, Yunho sets the cheerful tone of "Champagne" right from the first second. Jung "U-Know" Yunho shows all sides of himself as he plays a baby, an old man, a bartender, a gangster, and a rock star all within the first thirty seconds!

While Yunho may change styles throughout the video, one thing stays consistent throughout-- the upbeat and intoxicating energy of the song. As the chorus hits it's hard to not move along as Yunho demonstrates his well-rounded abilities as a dancer as well as a singer. "Champagne" is a great song to groove to and joins the list of great releases with a perfect summer feeling.

Shim "Max" Changmin, on the other hand, embraces his powerful vocal abilities and a more artistic visual representation for "Rise As One."

"Rise As One" is a pop rock anthem, with each verse building up to the driving and uplifting beat of the chorus. Changmin takes listeners on an emotional journey, guiding them with lyrics like "I've received light so I'll spread that light again/On top of this path we'll walk on together" before strongly asserting that he and his audience will "rise as one" together.

Unlike "Champagne" where viewers watched Yunho switch between characters, fans hardly see Changmin throughout the music video. Instead, the video follows two children as they make their way down their own path. Filled with symbolism, "Rise As One" is truly an artistic masterpiece.

"Champagne" and "Rise As One" are relatively neck in neck with each other in terms of numbers. At the time of publishing "Champagne" currently had just about 150,000 more views than "Rise as One.'

Even with two distinctly different sounds, Yunho and Changmin both easily proved that they are music gods with the new album. Which god-like track did you prefer? Let us know below!
