Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ Music Video: Katy Perry Thinks Ex Friend Capitalized On Her?

Katy Perry subtly confirmed that she was the inspiration behind Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video. John Mayer's lady love expressed her view following Calvin Harris' girlfriend's Twitter spat with rapper Nicki Minaj.

Nicki Minaj expressed her disappointment that her video wasn't nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for Best Video. She tweeted, "If you video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."

The tweet seems to be about Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video.

The "Teenage Dream" songstress, on the other hand, posted a tweet which read, "Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of another woman..."

Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video is about her former friend who allegedly tried to ruin her show.

"She did something so horrible. I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me," she told the Rolling Stone.

She also went on to say that because she doesn't like conflict, she resorted to avoiding that friend. Some speculate that John Mayer also fuelled the tension between the two singers. It was in 2012 when the
"Thinking of You" singer started dating Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend.

Backup dancer Locky Brownlie somehow confirmed that Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video is about Katy Perry too.

He said that their team of dancers was originally with Katy Perry but they moved on to be a part of Taylor Swift's entourage. However, John Mayer's current flame contacted them again to say she was releasing a new album, Prism. She told them that they wanted the dancers to be a part of her second world tour.

Meanwhile, in another interview with Billboard, Katy Perry had something to say about the controversial music video.

"If somebody is trying to defame my character, you're going to hear about it."
