SHINee Delay 'Odd' Album Repackage Promotions Due To Minho's Ankle Injury

SHINee may have already wrapped up their somewhat surprising 2015 comeback, but the group is not done yet.

Unfortunately, it may take a few weeks to get started with phase two.

Sadly it looks like SHINee's "Odd" album repackage promotions will now be put on hold for a few weeks. The delay in the comeback is happening because group member Choi Minho recently suffered an ankle injury. Currently, it is not certain when the group will begin promotions for the album repackage.

SM Entertainment released a statement earlier on July 22, stating that SHINee would perform as a four member group at the upcoming SM concert in Japan.

"Minho will be absent from the upcoming 'SMTOWN Live World Tour IV in Japan Special Edition' concert on July 25 and 26 due to his ankle injury," said an SM Entertainment Representative (via Soompi).

According to Soompi, Minho injured his ankle at the "8th Hope Basketball All-Star 2015 with SMTOWN" event. The event took place on July 18.

SHINee's "Odd" album repackage was originally announced for release this July. Unfortunately, it now looks like fans of the group will have to wait until perhaps August for the repackage. Little details have been revealed about the repackage, but one can guess it will include new songs.

The original "Odd" album was SHINee's fourth full-length studio album. The group managed to snag several wins on music shows and also had the most viewed K-pop music video for title track "View" in May.

Minho may be in recovery, but given his previous quick recovery from injury, SHINee will likely be back just in time for the end of summer music shows.
