'Sword In The Stone' Live-Action Movie Will Be 'Light' And 'Fun' Says 'GoT' Writer Bryan Cogman

A Disney live-action version of “Sword In The Stone” is already making a script.

The animated film was made decades ago but the story is a classic that remains entertaining for Disney fans all over the globe. The Disney live-action “sword In The Stone” script is already in the works and the one making it has a successful franchise under his belt.

According to Mashable, “Game of Thrones” Writer Bryan Cogman will be the brains behind the script of the upcoming Live-action reboot of “Sword In The Stone.” The story will still be about a young orphan boy who becomes king after pulling a magically stuck sword out of an anvil.

Cogman assured fans that despite his work with “Games Of Thrones, “ they can expect something that will be light and fun for everyone to enjoy. He even tweeted a photo of himself as he did “research” with a young Arthur impression.

According to Variety, the “Sword In The Stone” live-action reboot will hopefully follow the success of other Disney live-action films such as “Alice In Wonderland,” and “Maleficent.”

Other Disney favorites that are also on the road to become live-action films are “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Jungle Book,” “Mulan,” “Dumbo,” “Winnie The Pooh,” “Tinkerbell,” Fantasia,” and an “Aladdin” prequel are all in the works.
