‘Tokyo Ghoul Jack’ OVA Gets New Japanese Voice Cast Ahead Of Fall 2015 Release Date

The ghouls of Tokyo may have been missing since the end of season two, but luckily for fans they will soon return.

Unfortunately, it will still be in a pretty short form.

Today, the official website for the "Tokyo Ghoul" anime revealed new Japanese voice cast members for the upcoming OVA, "Jack." The new Japanese voice cast members include Saori Hayami, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, and Rumi Ookubo.

Earlier when the "Tokyo Ghoul: Jack" OVA was first announced, many fans on Crunchyroll expressed excitement.

"I can't wait. I'm so excited to watch it. My heart is ready for the thrills," said Artgal1.

Other fans were specifically excited about the animation style.

"Wow, the animation blows my mind. It looks so nice," commented Ittechis.

Anime News Network reports the following full Japanese voice cast for "Tokyo Ghoul: Jack":

Daisuke Namikawa as Kisho Arima
Ryohei Kimura as Taishi Fura
Yuji Ueda as Itsuki Maruda
Rintarou Nishi as Yamori
Saori Hayami as Uruka Minami
Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ryo
Rumi Ookubo as Aki

"Tokyo Ghoul" was created by Sui Ishida. The manga version of "Tokyo Ghoul Jack" ran in Shueisha's Jump Live in 2013. The most recent anime, "Tokyo Ghoul" season two "Root A" aired in March and was streamed to fans outside of Japan via Funimation.

Anime News Network provides the following descriptions for the story of "Tokyo Ghoul Jack":

"In Tokyo Ghoul: Jack, an incident involving a human-devouring Ghoul occurs in Tokyo's 13th Ward. To seek the truth behind what happened to his friend, the rebellious high school boy Taishi Fura pursues the Ghoul named Lantern with the young ace investigator Kishō Arima."

It goes on:

"The story follows how the ace investigator Arima and the talented 7th Ward investigator Taishi Fura first met."

Fans can check out the latest trailer for "Tokyo Ghoul Jack" below. The new OVA will be released in Japan on Sept. 30, with limited theatrical release beginning on Sept. 5.
