Ed Sheeran And Taylor Swift Prove They’re Best Friends; ‘Lego House’ Singer Defends Pal From Nicki Minaj

Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift prove that despite all the fame that comes with Tinseltown, they remain the best of friends. Recently, the "Tenerife Crooner" came to his pal's defense. Calvin Harris' girlfriend reacted to Nicki Minaj's tweet about the seemingly unfair treatment for MTV's "Video of the Year" nomination.

The "Anaconda" singer didn't get a nomination for the category that prompted her to tweet: "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."

This led to speculations that she was pertaining to Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video that featured various stars and models such as Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, and Selena Gomez.

"I think everyone knows that Taylor has done nothing wrong in that situation. She didn't nominate herself for the awards. It's not her fault. She just made some good videos and people think they're good," he told the Daily Telegraph.

Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift have been friends for years. Earlier this year, the "I Knew You were Love" songstress even mentioned her pal in her acceptance speech for Brit Award's Best International Female.

"Honestly I don't think I would be up here if it wasn't for one of my best friends who took me to pubs and taught me to make a good cup of tea and taught me everything I know about the UK. I just want to say I love you Ed Sheeran, where ever you are," she said.

Nonetheless, all is well between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj after the "Blank Space" songstress offered up an apology on Twitter: "I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki."

The rapper then responded, "That means so much Taylor, thank you." She went on to say that her respect for the "Styles" songstress increased because of what happened.
