The question of whether EXO would remain a 10 member group seemed to be answered with an absolute yes at the beginning of the promotions for their 2015 comeback, "Call Me Baby."

Now it seems pretty certain that the group will once again lose a member for their Chinese unit.

Recently, inactive EXO member Huang Zitao (also known by the stage names Tao and Z.Tao) announced his solo debut amid ongoing negotiations of his contract with SM Entertainment. Through analysis of his Weibo post about the song and the lyrics of the debut track "T.A.O," it appears that Tao has revealed his true feelings toward EXO and SM Entertainment.

Sadly, it doesn't seem to be very positive.

Though there is some doubt as to what exactly his negative feelings are directly toward, Tao did mention on his personal Weibo account that the lyrics of his solo debut title track express how he feels at the moment.

"T.A.O is back to tell about our 'Yesterday' and to share 'One Heart' with everyone. The things I want to say are all recorded in the lyrics, I hope everyone likes it. Thank you to everyone who has been beside me and devoted to me," said Tao.

This seems to imply that fans should definitely pay close attention to the lyrics. But if that's the case, according to Koreaboo, it seems to imply that Tao has decided that he will permanently leave EXO.

The first lyrics that hint at this are in the first verse: "I believe in my persistence, I believe in my choice, it has come to the time to leave, I understand what is freedom, as I leave by myself, I understand the reason why, I'm back."

There are also some lyrics later in the song that seem to imply that Tao is very hurt by how things turned out with EXO, and hopes that everyone in the group can move forward cordially: "The lost time is a part of an irreversible life. I'm not willing to remember part of that memory. One love, where are you? I tried to find it, but I couldn't find it. Can I trust it? Where is it? Where is it? Let's forget the past."

While there's always room to speculate, nothing is certain until the negotiations between Tao and SM Entertainment are finalized.
