AOA Chosen As Muses For Korean National Soccer Team At 2015 East Asian Cup

Korean girl group AOA have been chosen as muses for the Korean national soccer team competing in the 2015 East Asian Cup, which will be held in the first week of August.

In an announcement, exclusive broadcaster JTBC said it had shot posters and a video clip with AOA cheering on the Korean team, reports The Korea Herald.

The video will reportedly show AOA members wearing uniforms while giving encouragement to the participating athletes.

"AOA's fun and cheerful images are best suited for the event," said a JTBC representative on why the girl group was chosen as the muse.

The posters and video clip will be unveiled before July ends.

China will host the 2015 East Asian Cup when it kicks off on August 1 in the city of Wuhan. The compitition will last for a little more than a week, ending on August 9.

The East Asian Cup is an international soccer competition for members of the East Asian Football Federation, which includes South Korea, China, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia.

Japan won the competition in 2013.

AOA is coming off a successful promotions run for their song "Heart Attack," which managed to snag a few music show awards and ranked high in overseas music charts in places like China and Taiwan. Coincidentally, AOA also used a sports concept with "Heart Attack" which might have helped the girl group secure the 2015 East Asian Cup endorsement.
